Thanks for Playing: Hollywood 4WRD Giveaway Winners Announced

DATELINE: Hollywood, CA (April 5th, 2024)

Hollywood 4WRD’s month-long Clippers “Giveaway” campaign concluded on March 31st with the randomly generated selection of our two lucky winners, Luis Ajzac and Gracy Pena.

The campaign offered participants who followed us on Instagram the chance to win a pair of tickets to the upcoming LA Clippers/Houston Rockets game on April 14th at the Crypto.Com Arena. Gracy and Luis have won a pair of tickets each (along with parking passes!) and will be in the stands to watch the Clippers’ James Harden face off against his former team the Rockets, who are battling for a place in the playoffs. 

We are grateful first of all to Health Net for their generosity in making this Giveaway possible, and for helping to expand and strengthen our community in the process.

Partnerships like these offer H4WRD the opportunity to take innovative approaches to fulfilling our mission of ending and preventing street homelessness in Hollywood, while expanding our online presence so more community members and decision makers understand the uniquely challenging homelessness landscape in Hollywood.

Thank you as well to our partners who helped spread the word about the campaign and bring interested individuals into the conversation for more productive engagement. As a membership organization and a community coalition, Hollywood 4WRD depends on partnerships to crowdsource solutions, and envision a future without chronic street homelessness. 

Activating civic participation to achieve sustainable solutions and systems change has always been a core part of H4WRD’s mission. Our partners’ efforts helped our community grow by over 200+ new followers, which not only increases awareness about the good work of H4WRD and our partners, but also helps us reach more people when sharing information, advocacy initiatives and relevant resources (such as our recently released Revised 2024 FAQ) with our community.

Finally, we'd like to extend a warm welcome to the new friends and followers we’ve gained in the last month.

Congratulations again to Luis and Gracy. No matter who wins the game on April 14th, by expanding our community AND strengthening the coalition seeking to prevent and end homelessness in Hollywood, H4WRD’s Giveaway was a win/win for all.
